Dr. Özçayır is an associate professor of maritime law. She is an experienced lawyer, trainer and lecturer. She is the author of ‘Liability for Oil Pollution & Collisions’ and ‘Port State Control’, both published by LLP professional Publishing.

She is a member of the International Maritime Organisation (IMO) Experts, a member of the Editorial Board of Maritime Risk International and the editor of the IMO section of the Journal of International Maritime Law.

She is also a member of Izmir Law Bar in Turkey and an honorary fellow at the School of Law, University of Exeter in the UK.
